Basics

An intentional community, an ecovillage, an association, a cooperative project, a collective field of people that aligns together needs clarity about the context and purpose of the group.

The context determines the relationship to the wheel of responsibility that the group chooses.

The purpose determines the alignment and collective action.

Why do you need support?

Symptoms and upcoming challenges are growth accelerators – both for individuals and collectives. Developing resilience and the ability to consciously evolve without causing great harm is a way of life that we as humanity, especially in the modern Western world, need to relearn. Initiation rituals have disappeared from our culture, which over millennia has created a culture of separation and the “lone wolf”. Heroes and heroines usually fight evil alone. Our role models – parents, grandparents, fairy tales, stories, Hollywood – have done little to anchor a collective, collaborative understanding in us. When people come together, symptoms often emerge that show there is something to learn. This is a great opportunity to walk together into a new, previously unthinkable space of possibilities.

Uniqueness

Every community is unique and a continuous process, not a fixed state. Living in community means constantly changing. Agreements serve as reminders and are regularly reviewed to see whether the collective continues to adhere to them. Adjustments are decided together. People often come together with the desire to live in “community”. From a radical point of view, this desire is already fulfilled as soon as they have decided to work together – that is already community. The problem with this is that people come together with their own context (yoga, permaculture, cranio, Montessori, Possibility Management, Transparent Communication, etc.). This often leads to a “context war” where everyone sees their own approach as the best. It is important to choose a common context that does not pursue the goal of “living in community” or “being a community”. Community is a by-product of people working together on something bigger than themselves. What larger mission unites us all and has brought us to this particular place? How can we strengthen our ability to work together? What do we need to let go of so that what we really want becomes visible? These and similar questions support the process of community development.

Daily rates

Each group is unique and the process is customized accordingly. The following prices are intended as a guide.

An individual offer is drawn up after a site meeting.

Intentional communities: 750 – 1250 CHF

NGOs, companies: 1500-2000 CHF

I accompany and advise groups online and on site that are either in the process of setting up a community project or already existing community projects that are at a turning point, are stuck themselves and need an outside perspective or are looking for intensive times of consolidation and deepening together.
